Based on the Ontario Curriculum, in grade 3 they only need to round 2-digit numbers to the nearest ten. I like using a number line as a benchmark to help students understand when to round up and when to round down. They did very well doing this on the whiteboards today. You can see how we did this by looking at the pictures I posted.
