It is important for you to know that the math textbook is another resource I use to reinforce learning. Most of the time, it is used for independent work. The Ontario Curriculum is my guide that I use to cover all of the learning expectations required for grade 3. Your child will not be flipping from page to page in the textbook, as there are many things that aren't covered in the textbook that your child needs to know. Just like literacy, it is important that your child is exposed to a balanced math program. I will give you more information about what that means very soon.
